Ayre & Peel out to keep up unbeaten records at the summit (Fixtures: 12-13 Oct)

Just one point separates the top four sides in the Canada Life Men's Premier League heading into the latest Manx football weekend.

After a rest week six days ago, current table-toppers Peel face a tricky test to keep up their unbeaten league record when they host third-placed Corinthians this Saturday (12 October) whilst reigning champions Ayre United are at home to Foxdale.

Both Peel and Ayre sit locked on 16 points with the westerners ahead on goal difference and both sides with a game in hand on Corinthians and Foxdale a point further back in third and fourth respectively.

Elsewhere, an almost-equally tightly-contested battle at the summit of Ardern & Druggan Ltd. Division 2 resumes tomorrow.

With leaders Braddan on a rest week this week, second-placed Michael United could go top if they win by five or more at Malew on Saturday whilst Douglas High School Old Boys (Dhsob.) - in third and tied on points with Michael but with two games in hand - will be looking to continue their charge at home to Castletown.

Meanwhile, Sunday (13 October) sees just one fixture planned in the Canada Life Women's League - Douglas Royal are due to host Onchan with both teams still searching for their first points of the season.
