Football: 'Old Boys' with chance to go top of Division 2

New Women's Floodlit Cup enters second week (Fixtures: 9-10 Nov)

Douglas High School Old Boys (Dhsob.) have the chance to go top of Ardern & Druggan Ltd. Division 2 as the latest gameweek in Isle of Man football beckons this weekend.

Among Saturday's ties (9 November) 'Old Boys' welcome struggling Douglas & District knowing a win or draw at home would push them above current table-toppers Braddan who have a rest week.

Also without a game on Saturday are Colby in third who're already four points further back.

In the top flight, leaders Ayre United - who overcame a big scare at struggling Marown last week - are back on home territory in Andreas against St John's United.

Peel in second- three points back on Ayre - will be looking to keep up the pressure at the top when they welcome St Mary's to Douglas Road.

Elsewhere, the battle continues for Railway Cup qualification with just three points separating Foxdale in third, Laxey in fourth spot and Corinthians in fifth.

Meanwhile on Sunday (10 November) the second set of fixtures in the new-look seven-a-side Canada Life Women's Floodlit Cup take place with the second round of 'grading games' in the competition.
