Football: Fixtures confirmed for 2025 Island Games

Manx sides learn group stage fixtures for July's event

The schedule for the football tournaments have been confirmed for the 2025 Island Games in Orkney.

Both the Isle of Man men's and women's national teams will be part of the event taking place from 12-18 July.

The football schedule will start with the group stages from 13-15 July before a rest day on Wednesday, 16 July.

That'll be followed by the play-off and knockout phase which starts on Thursday, 17 July with the finals of both competitions scheduled for Friday, 18 July.

The Isle of Man women's squad - bronze medallists at the previous games - will begin their campaign against Gozo on Sunday, 13 July at 7pm before facing Frøya at 3.30pm the day after (14 July).

Their final group match will see them come up against the hosts, Orkney at 3.30pm on Tuesday, 15 July.

Meanwhile, the Manx men's squad will open their campaign against Hitra at 12pm on Sunday, 13 July.

After that will be a meeting with Frøya at 7pm on Monday, 14 July followed by their final group match against Orkney at 7pm on Tuesday, 15 July.
