In Tuesday evening's top flight ties, Corinthians were narrow 2-1 winners at St John's United whilst Union Mills made it back-to-back 3-0 victories at Marown.

Both defending champions Ayre United and Peel have also maintained their perfect starts with victories against Onchan and Ramsey respectively.

In Division 2 last night, Braddan have now managed 16 goals in their opening two games as they claimed a dominant 6-1 victory at Douglas & District to stay top of the pile.

Elsewhere, Malew got their first win of the season at Douglas Royal whilst Douglas High School Old Boys (Dhsob.) edged out Governors Athletic 3-2.

The southern derby between Colby and Castletown was voided following a dispute over pitch conditions - the matter is now being looked into.
