Football: Ayre looking to make it eight unbeaten at Rushen

Colby with chance to go top in Division 2 (Fixtures: 19-20 Oct)

As the only side still undefeated in the top flight, Ayre United will be looking to extend both their unbeaten record and lead a the top in this weekend's latest Isle of Man fixtures.

Ahead of a long journey south to Rushen United this weekend, the northern side sit at the summit of the Canada Life Men's Premier League on 19 points after seven games, one point clear of second-placed Corinthians and with a game in hand.

However tomorrow will once again see the teams beneath Ayre looking to pounce should there be a slip-up - Peel in third on 16 points after seven played face a possibly tricky task away at Union Mills.

Corinthians in second have a rest week allowing Foxdale and Laxey in fourth and fifth respectively to make up ground this weekend.

Elsewhere in Ardern & Druggan Ltd. Division 2 three of the top four sides so far are on a rest week on Saturday including leaders Braddan; second-placed Douglas High School Old Boys (Dhsob.) and Michael United in fourth.

Colby in third - one point behind Braddan and 'Old Boys' - could go top this weekend should they emerge victorious at home to Governors Athletic.

There's also set to be a southern derby as Castletown in sixth host Malew in seventh.

On Sunday there's just one fixture in the Canada Life Women's League which will see defending champions Peel host Douglas Royal - the westerners will be looking to win and move to within three points of leaders Corinthians whilst Douglas Royal have the opportunity to go level on points with their opponents and Malew.
