Ravens suffered sound defeat to opposition earlier this month

After being soundly beaten by their latest opponents a few weeks ago, FC Isle of Man will be out for revenge when they travel to face Litherland REMYCA in the NWCFL Premier Division tonight (23 August).

The Ravens will head to Merseyside with the chance the move into the top five at this early stage of the season should they take victory this evening.

However, they come up against a Litherland side which swept them aside at The Bowl back on 5 August with a commanding 3-0 win over the Island side.

Taking charge of the next few games for FC Isle of Man is Assistant Manager, Alex Harrison, who explains the lessons they've learned from defeat to their opponents last time out

FC Isle of Man were made to pay for a lacklustre home display against Litherland REMYCA earlier this month in which saw the Manx side beaten by a well-taken brace by Litherland's Elliot Taylor followed by a William Dunne strike from the penalty spot.

Since that victory at The Bowl, the Liverpool-based outfit have taken two wins and two defeats and have accumulated ten points from seven games so far.

That places them eighth in the table, one place and one point above FC Isle of Man who've played two games less at this stage.

Following that humbling loss on 5 August, FC Isle of Man have responded positively by taking back-to-back wins in their last two outings.

A hard-fought 2-1 home win over Padiham on 12 August was followed by a clinical 4-0 victory away at Glossop North End.

Litherland REMYCA vs FC Isle of Man will take place at Litherland Sports Park tonight (23 August), kicking-off at 8pm.
