Ravens hoping to bounce back after midweek defeat

FC Isle of Man will be hoping for a positive response to defeat in midweek when they face Prestwich Heys at The Bowl tomorrow night (17 September).

Saturday's latest NWCFL Premier Division clash comes after the Ravens went down 4-0 away from home to fellow promoted side Bury AFC on Tuesday evening (13 September).

Going into this weekend, the Manx side sit 14th out of 22 sides in the league standings after nine games.

The Ravens have just one win in their last six outings - that came back on 23 August in a 1-0 victory away to Padiham.

Five of those last six have been on the road, with their most recent home fixture an entertaining 3-3 draw with Barnoldswick Town on 3 August.

Meanwhile, Prestwich Heys currently lie tenth in the league table - they're two points ahead of FC Isle of Man but have played two league games less so far.

The Greater Manchester side will be looking to avenge back-to-back defeats in their last two outings which were a 2-0 defeat away to high-flying AFC Liverpool (3 August) and a 2-1 home loss against Kendal Town (6 August).

Both sides have similar records in front of goal currently - with Prestwich Heys netting 16 times compared to FC Isle of Man's twelve.

However, the visiting outfit have the far superior defensive record currently - Prestwich Heys have conceded 10 goals whilst the Ravens have shipped 22.

FC Isle of Man vs Prestwich Heys takes place at The Bowl this Saturday, kicking-off at 6pm.

Manx Radio will be providing full live match commentary on our AM1368 and Digital platforms.
