FC Isle of Man facing gruelling double-header weekend

Manx side to take on two games in less than 24 hours

Heading into the closing stages of its season, FC Isle of Man faces a rare situation this weekend, playing twice in the space of less than 24 hours.

'The Ravens' play Pilkington tomorrow afternoon at 3pm before taking on Prestwich Heys in a rearranged tie at 11am on Sunday morning - with both matches taking place at The Bowl in Douglas.

Despite a positive start to the season in the opening few months, 'The Ravens' have struggled for form in 2025 resulting in them dropping into the mid-table region of the NWCFL Premier Division.

Manager Paul Jones insists his players are learning from the challenges of this season and are capable of pushing for better things in the long-term:

Both of the Islanders' opponents this weekend find themselves battling for survival towards to the bottom of the table.

Saturday's visitors Pilkington sit 21st in the standings on 33 points - five points above the relegation zone - whilst Prestwich Heys are rock-bottom in 24th and, despite a recent uplift in form, remain four points from safety.

Meanwhile, FC Isle of Man's form is among the worst in the division since the turn of the year and they're looking to end a run of four matches without a win.

Their last outing saw them suffer a 3-2 home loss at the hands of then-bottom side Squires Gate last Saturday (8 March).

Manx Radio will be providing full live match commentary of both matches this weekend on our DAB and AM1368 channels.
