FC Isle of Man becomes equality chartered club

Part of Kick It Out campaign to tackle discrimination and promote equality

FC Isle of Man has taken another step in its commitment to tackling all forms of discrimination in the sport.

The Ravens have become the Island's first Kick It Out Equality Chartered Club.

Kick It Out is an organisation which aims to combat discrimination in the game and promote the benefits of equality, inclusion and diversity across all levels.

As part of the accreditation, FC IoM sign up to Kick It Out's Equality Charter.

This requires the club to appoint an Equality/Inclusion Lead; Attend Kick It Out workshops; publish and employ an equality policy as well as proactively raise awareness of equality and inclusion.

In a statement, the Ravens say it's proud the certification shows the club is moving in the right direction.

It adds there's always more they can do to promote equality and take active steps to stamp out discrimination.
