The favourites for the TT Zero, Moto Czysz, confirmed why they were this afternoon, taking the chequered flag in the one-lap clean emissions event.
Rider Mark Miller took the electric machine round at an average speed of 96mph, becoming the first American to set a lap record at the TT since Pat Hennen in 1978.
Speaking afterwards to Chris Kinley, Miller was disappointed to miss out on the 100mph average lap - and £10,000 prize for doing so - but seemed happy and exhilerated by the experience: (play clip)
Rob Barber was second on the Agni One machine, James McBride was third on the ManTTX bike.
