Everton Soccer Schools to return to Island

Camp gives young footballers opportunity to be scouted

Young footballers on the Island will have the chance to train with coaches from an English Premier League club next month.

Everton Soccer Schools will be returning to the Isle of Man this October for a week-long football camp in association with St Georges AFC.

Run by Everton club coaches, it gives young people the opportunity to develop their skills and learn new techniques.

There's also a chance to get spotted - a small number of children each year who show extra talent or significant improvement over the week are recommended by coaches to Everton's youth academy for trials.

Soccer School Manager Mike Salla says, 'A typical day at camp includes a proper footballer's-style warm-up, skill sessions, penalty competitions, small-sided games and a tournament to end each day.'

The camp is for those aged 4-14.

Taking place at St George's Football Club from 28 October, the school will run between 10am and 4pm each day.

Parents are welcome to stay and watch and those taking part must bring their own lunch.

The week costs £100 per person - to book, head to Eventbrite.co.uk
