Equestrian: Disappointment for Ingham in Kentucky cross-country test

But Greeba rider 'taking plenty of positives' after challenging day

After a strong start to this year's Kentucky Three Day Event, Manx world eventing champion Yasmin Ingham suffered a setback in the competition yesterday (29 April).

After going top of the standings after the opening dressage test on Friday (28 April), Ingham and her horse, Banzai Du Loir, took to the cross-country test during Saturday.

Ingham and Banzai had an early setback early in the cross-country contest which cost the duo 20 penalties before their performance smoothed out during the rest of the course.

However, on social media afterwards, Ingham said 'if you're not winning you are learning', adding she's still taking 'plenty of positives' from a challenging day.

The Greeba rider's Kentucky Three Day Event campaign will conclude later today (30 April) with the show jumping test - that's due to get underway at around 2.30pm local time (approx. 7.30pm UK time).
