Inaugural Crown Cup takes place in Guernsey this month
A Manx rugby club hopes an annual match against Guernsey Raiders will help the team become semi-professional.
Douglas Rugby Club will travel to Guernsey later this month for the inaugural Crown Cup.
The Raiders play national league rugby, something Douglas is hoping to achieve in the next three years.
Douglas's director of rugby Carl Murray hopes it will show the Manx players what they need to do to reach that goal:
FC Isle of Man and AFC Liverpool to meet in vital hunt for points
Hockey: Cup finals double-header on the cards
Rugby: Douglas to host Sandbach in big top-of-the-table clash
Football: Prem title contenders Corinthians and Peel to meet
