The organiser of the Isle of Man Bank Town Centre Cycle Series is disappointed a lack of senior rider entrants has led to the cancellation of the races.
It was announced this week that the events in Castletown, Port Erin, Peel, Ramsey and Douglas have been called off.
Numbers of juniors was good but Steve Shimmin says he had to weigh up the inconvenience of road closures on local residents and businesses with the quality of the events being proposed.
He says he is disappointed as entry levels at other local cycling races are enjoying a boom:
Rugby: Manx club's passionate plea for new players
Football: Castletown beat southern rivals to go top of Division 2
Rugby: Douglas continue strong run at Birkenhead Park
Hockey: Valkyrs B move to the top of Mixed Division One
