Cycling: Cycling Club Isle of Man announces Ras Tailteann squad

Five riders named for prestigious race in Ireland

Cycling Club Isle of Man has announced it's rider line-up for its first competitive outing in 2023.

Five individuals will represent the Manx squad at the Ras Tailteann taking place in Republic of Ireland next week from 17-21 May.

Among the younger names to be involved will be Corrin Leeming and Ralf Holden, they'll be joined by experienced figures of Mark Horsthuis and Jamie Fletcher.

Completing the roster will be guest rider, Marcus Christie who competed for Ireland in the UCI Road World Championships in 2021.

CC IoM says the line-up provides a mix of youth and experience as it aims to achieve strong results in both the Under-23 and general classifications at next week's race.

The Isle of Man team made its full debut at the same event in 2022 finishing 11th in the overall standings, and bagging five top-ten finishes in the process.
