Cycling: Bostock snapped up by Bolton Equities Black Spoke team

Bostock one of three new signings for New Zealand-based squad

Manx cyclist, Matthew Bostock, is set to ride for the Bolton Equities Black Spoke team for the upcoming campaign.

The New Zealand-based outfit have signed Bostock along with Irish Road Champion, Rory Townsend and Jake Scott as the team progresses to UCI ProTeam for 2023.

Bostock enjoyed a highly successful campaign during 2022.

He was crowned champion of the men's 2022 National Circuit Race Championship in June.

He also achieved top honours with the WiV SunGod squad as they topped the standings in the sportsbreaks.com Tour Series the month before.

In July, he tasted victory on Manx soil by winning overall in the Manx Telecom International Stage race.

Furthermore, the Island competitor represented the Isle of Man at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in July and August.

He was forced to withdraw from the 15km and 40km scratch races after being injured in a crash during qualifying for the 15km event.

However, he did recover to compete in part of the men's road race for the Island.
