Cycling: Becky Storrie heading to 2024 Tour de France Femmes

Third edition of the event takes place next week

Manx pro cyclist Becky Storrie will compete at this year's Tour de France Femmes.

The 25-year-old has been named in the Team dsm-firmenich PostNL squad to face the Women's WorldTour event - now in its third year - which will run from next Monday (12 August) until next Sunday (18 August).

Joining her in the lineup will be British national road race champion Pfeiffer Georgi as well as Francesca Barale, Rachele Barbieri, Franziska Koch, Charlotte Kool and Juliette Labous.

Team dsm-firmenich PostNL coach Albert Trimmer says: "We have performed well in the first two editions of the Tour de France Femmes and we are aiming to continue that this year.

"We will need to ride well as a team throughout the week, but everyone is looking forward to taking to the start line in Rotterdam.”

Storrie's last competitive outing was during last month's Giro D'Italia Women where she was forced to withdraw on stage four after suffering a broken collarbone injury for the second time so far this season.

It's now also been announced fellow Isle of Man pro rider Lizzie Holden will also be part of the 2024 Tour de France Femmes.

The 26-year-old has been named in the UAE Team ADQ lineup on the tour's official website.
