Manx side's hot streak continues against Estonia and Slovenia

The Isle of Man men's cricket team secured two further wins at the 2024 European Cricket Championships yesterday (25 September) to confirm a 100 per cent record in the group stage of the event.

Having won their opening three contests at Cartama Oval heading into Wednesday, the Manx side secured further victories over Estonia and Slovenia to top the Challenger Division Group One.

In the first contest of yesterday, the Isle of Man overcame Estonia by four wickets with a score of 140-6 to overhaul Estonia's total of 137 with just three balls remaining in the game.

Following that was an evening tie against Slovenia in which the Isle of Man batted first and set an initial benchmark of 153-4 after the full ten overs - their Slovenian opposition would find themselves all out for 106.

As a result of their group phase endeavours, the Isle of Man have progressed to the qualifiers for the group one final - they'll take on Estonia today at 1.30pm.

Should they pass that test they'll qualify for the final which would take place this evening at 7.30pm.
