Colby boosted their chances of Canada Life Premier League survival with a 2-1 success at Douglas Athletic on Saturday.

Player-manager Chris McKenna grabbed the winner in the battle of the newly promoted clubs.

David Caldwell and Athletic’s Jamie Clague had earlier traded goals.

In-form Laxey hammered bottom club Ayre Utd 8-0, courtesy of goals from talented teenager Joe Walters (two), Michael Fernandez (two), Matthew Skillicorn, Christian Penswick, a Sean Gavin penalty and an own goal.
