Hockey results for Saturday, September 10

The mixed hockey season is underway and champions Bacchas A have started the new campaign as they finished the last one.

On Saturday, they saw off Vikings A 5-1 in the PwC Mixed Premier Division.

The match was level at 1-1 until the closing stages which opened the floodgates for Bacchas, for whom Andy Whiting (three), Kim Carney and Chris Whiting were on target.

Neil Crowe had levelled for Vikings.

Valkyrs A saw off a battling performance from newly promoted Harlequins A.

Greg Miller, Gareth Morris, Luis Novo Smith and Juan Killey got the goals in a 4-1 success.

Matt Davin replied for Quins.

A strong Bacchas B side saw off Celts 7-2.

Karl Moore (three), Tony Bentley-Roberts (two) and George Harrison (two) found the net with Robin Masson and Stevie Ronan scoring for Celts.
