Cavendish out to make history

The eyes of the sporting world will be on Paris on Sunday.

Mark Cavendish is bidding for a record fourth successive Tour de France victory on the Champs-Elysees.

And the Manxman should also be part of a history making team by the end of the day.

That’s because Team Sky team-mate Bradley Wiggins is all-but guaranteed to make history and become the first British champion of the Tour.

Wiggins now leads Chris Froome by three minutes, 21 seconds after beating his Team Sky team-mate in Saturday’s 53.5km time trial.
