Bellis reflects on Olympics debut

Johnny Bellis will be reflecting this morning (Sunday) on just how tough his first ever Olympic race was.

He retired halfway through the men's road race in Beijing, on a course described by commentators as the toughest Olympic course they have seen.

The 19-year-old, who was the youngest rider in the 155 mile race, marked an early break which included Tour de France winner Carlos Sastre.

The race was won by the Spaniard Samuel Sanchez, silver went to Italy's Davide Rebellin, bronze to Swiss rider Fabian Cancellara.
