Baxter tops Cyclefest again

Rider wins Gran Fondo in record time

Elliot Baxter is once again Isle of Man Cyclefest champion.

He won yesterday’s (Sun 22/04) gruelling Gran Fondo in a new record time of 3 hours 51 minutes and 13 seconds, to be quicker than Owen Dudley in 2016 and claim the overall yellow jersey.

Aimee Cringle was the leading woman over the three events, including the Gran Fondo, to claim the pink jersey.

The white jersey for the best under-21 rider went to Adam Kelly.

Looking at the three races individually, Adam Scarffe and Rebecca Storrie were quickest on the Storm the Tower Hill Climb with Adam setting a new record time of 5 minutes and 5 seconds.

Nick Corlett and Aimee Cringle took the honours in the Battle of Sky Hill Mountain Bike Race.

Elliot Baxter just pipped professional Ben Swift to the line in the Gran Fondo.
