Popular race to get underway this afternoon (1 January)
A packed athletics schedule for 2023 gets underway today.
The St Johns Fell Race will see those involved take on a 5km course which starts and finishes at Peel St Johns Cricket Club.
Sign-on for the event will take place at St Johns Football Club on the day between 12.15pm and 1.15pm.
It starts at 1.30pm and athletics correspondent, Dave Griffiths, says it's a good outing for both competitive and social runners.
He says it'll kick-off a busy month in athletics locally, including one big competition to keep an eye on in a few weeks:
