He smashed personal best throw during competition in Germany

Manxman Joe Harris has gone top of the 2022 UK Senior Rankings in javelin.

It's after he put in a sensation display during competition in Offenburg in Germany at the weekend (15 May).

He managed to throw a personal best out there of 79.53 metres.

That achievement means he sits at the summit of the JT800 Men's overall standings at this early stage of the season.

Following close behind him are Joe Dunderdale of Sheffield & Dearne and Daniel Bainbridge of Shaftesbury Barnet in second and third respectively.

Both have also cleared the 70-metre mark so far.
