Archery: Erin Hainge crowned U14 indoor national champion

IoM Archery describes young athlete as 'a true champion'

Young Island archer, Erin Hainge, has claimed the prestigious title of U14 Women's Indoor National Champion.

Representing Isle of Man Archery, Erin travelled to Stoneleigh in Warwickshire to take part in the 2022 Archery GB National Indoor Championships.

She went into the competition in brilliant form having taken first place in her age group for every British event she's competed in up to that point.

Shooting in the U14 Women's Recurve class, Erin hit a morning session score of 530 in the Portsmouth round the championships are based on.

Having set a benchmark, Erin then spent the next few hours watching the afternoon session to see who might match or beat her tally.

However, the competition ended in triumph for Erin as she added the title of U14 Women's Indoor National Champion to her list of achievements.

Isle of Man Archery says Erin's 'dedication, cheerfulness and down to earth attitude' mark her out as a 'true champion'.

The organisation adds she is an ambassador to both the club and the Isle of Man.
