A whole 'Latta' tries for Douglas

There were mixed fortunes for the Manx sides in South Lancashire/Cheshire Division Two.

Four tries from Will Latta, plus two conversions and two penalties for Bryn Snellgrove. helped Douglas to a bonus point in a 28-18 home win over Marple.

However, battling Ramsey went down 47-24 at in-form leaders Crewe & Nantwich.

Fintan Cummins, Adam Yates and Mark Oldfield all picked up tries for Ramsey, with Cummins also notching three conversions and a penalty.

In the Shimmin Wilson Manx Shield, champions Southern Nomads were 61-20 winners over Douglas B.

Two tries for Ian Hargreaves and one each from Ben White, Glen Buckley, Andy Joughin and Dave Campbell helped them to a comfortable victory.

Ramsey B turned on the style to cruise to a 65-14 victory over Vagabonds B.

Tries for Rory Nicholson, Jared Collister (two), Chris Hardisty, Gary Vernon (two), Lance Wylie, Gareth Hinge and a hat-trick of tries from Ryan Rhodes did the damage with Dan Bonwick notching five conversions in the Ramsey romp.

Ryan Windell was the main man for Vagas with two tries and two conversions.

In the other match, Castletown were 31-10 winners over Emerging Nomads.
