It's a way to help students transition from primary to secondary school
Year six pupils from the Island's primary schools have been learning how to stay safe, live a healthy lifestyle, and help others, at this week's annual Crucial Crew event.
Organisations ranging from the police, fire service and coastguard, to Isle Listen are at the Villa Marina in Douglas to offer the pupils the necessary training needed to help with the transition to secondary school.
Education Minister Daphne Caine, who attended the very first event in 1992, described it as a fantastic way of learning:
Crucial Crew @VillaGaiety this week and next helping #iom Year 6s @iomdesc transition to secondary school. Thanks to all participants including @RNLIDouglas Isle Listen IoM police and @iomfire plus @CoastIom @SJAIoM
