Work on Viking project to resume

Ardwhallan's Viking longhouse project is due to start up again next month.

Staff at Scottish Provident International have spent the winter raising over £3,000 which will go towards putting the roof on the structure.

Once the building has been completed groups of schoolchildren will go up to find out what it was like to live as a Viking in the Isle of Man 1,000 years ago, with the centre also running associated workshops.

Managing Director of Scottish Provident Lillian Boyle says it a very valuable project for the company to be involved in (audio file attached):
