Woman's vulnerable son waits almost two months for flu jab

Local mum questions Island's vaccination stocks

A local mum is questioning whether there's a flu vaccine shortage on the Island.

Kirstie Hesketh has a highly vulnerable 11-year-old son, who is unable to get or be around the flu mist in school due to health conditions.

However, despite requesting a vaccine well in advance, it took almost two months and numerous cancelled appointments by doctors before her son was able to get the jab.

Speaking to Rhian Evans, Kirstie says the process has been distressing:
