Wind farm would be visible from Island

A huge new wind farm in the Irish Sea will help provide much 'greener' electricity in the future - but it will be visible from the Isle of Man.

Nine new zones for the UK government's third phase of offshore wind farms were unveiled in January.

Centrica wants to develop the Irish Sea zone, between the Island and north Wales, 20 kilometres off the Manx coast.

The Department of Trade and Industry has already begun talks with the company on the potential impact on shipping and marine life.
