What are the election priorities for Island businesses?

Chamber of Commerce publishes manifesto

The Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce has published a manifesto setting out what it believes are the priorities for business ahead of September's General Election.

It's a result of feedback from sector based forums that all Chamber members were invited to take part in.

Some of the key issues include a more joined-up, smaller and less bureaucratic Government, a strategic skills plan and a reform of public sector finances.

You can find a copy of the manifesto here.

The aim is to produce a list of questions that will help voters challenge election candidates.

Chamber of Commerce members are now being asked to take part in a 10 minute survey to identify the questions businesses want candidates to answer.

The survey deadline is June 4th, and you can find out more here.

Chamber President Caren Pegg says while the manifesto highlights priorities, it was never intended to provide the answers.
