
35% more rainfall than average
February on the Isle of Man was wetter and warmer than normal.
Data collected by Ronaldsway Met Office shows there was 88.8mm of rainfall – 35 percent above average.
The wettest day of the month was 8 February when 19.5mm was recorded; it was also the only day when there were gales.
There were 91.9 hours of sunshine in the month – a little above normal – with the average temperature 7.6°C.
This is around 1.5°C above the long term average.
The coldest air temperature was recorded on the morning of 7 February – with an overnight minimum of 0.2°C – and the warmest on 21 February with a peak of 13.1°C.
