Water back on in west after 18 hour break in supplies

Engineers in area through the night

Water has been restored to parts of the west, where some householders had been without supplies since Saturday afternoon

A pumping station at Laurel Bank failed - and this was compounded with a burst main in the area.

MUA engineers were in the area for around 18 hours before the problem could be traced and fixed.

A water bowser and bottled wated had to be placed around Cronk y Voddy and Staarvey Crossroads for local residents.

Supplies were finally reinstated around lunchtimt today (Sun)
