Waiting times slashed by ten months

But operations may suffer

Waiting times for ear, nose and throat operations at Noble's have been reduced by ten months.

The health department says it's a result of deciding against offering certain operations to patients.

Twenty-two procedures have been placed 'under review' to judge which operations should be offered out.

DHSC Chief Executive Malcolm Couch says 'difficult decisions' have to be made regarding what is cut.

With average waiting times going from eighteen to eight months, though, the news is being welcomed by health bosses.

A statement from the Department says the move means doctors have more time to treat endoscopy patients - for which there's a longer waiting list.
