Public consultation closes next week
Residents in the sheading of Garff have time left to voice their opinions on the unification of three local authorities.
The public consultation on a proposal to merge Laxey, Lonan and Maughold Commissioners into a single authority draws to a close at the end of next week.
The move could see public services contracted to providers across the area, and ratepayers paying the same bills.
Maughold Commissioner Robert Moughtin argues that in his view the merger would be a logical step.
Mr Moughtin is making it clear that this is an individual opinion and not that of the board as a whole.
