'Unknown' if trees on route to Earystane wind farm would need to be felled

MU chair says some at the site itself will have to be cleared if plans are approved

It's not known if any trees will need to be felled on the route to Earystane if a wind farm were to be built there.

The chair of Manx Utilities has been responding to questions in the House of Keys as the authority moves ahead with the proposals.

If approved, the £30-40 million project could be up and running by the end of 2026.

But John Wannenburgh says some trees at the site itself will have to be cleared to make way for the turbines:
