Union head vows to work with government

A union chief has vowed to work with government to keep any job cuts to a minimum.

The revised VAT sharing agreement means ongoing reductions in the Isle of Man's public finances with the Island receiving £30 million less this financial year and £50 million less from next April.

Steve Salter from Unite says now the new government line-up is known, he’ll be seeking talks with the Chief Minister to assess the position over possible redundancies.
