Unemployment fell in March

Lowest March figure since 2009

Thirty four people fewer were on the unemployment register in March, compared to the month before.

Treasury statistics show 794 were registered - the lowest March figure since 2009.

Chief Minister Allan Bell says the unemployment rate, which stands at 1.8 per cent, normally drops at this time of year.

And he thinks the bigger picture is healthier than expected.
