UK's student Covid tests unlikely to be used on IoM

Education minister says self-swabbing isn't 'very sensitive'

The process being used in the UK for mass testing, particularly with students, is not something the Manx government is looking to take on board.

That's from Education Minister Dr Alex Allinson after Covid testing has been ramped up in England and Wales.

Tests for students could begin on 30 November, according to a letter from the universities minister to vice chancellors.

However Dr Allinson isn't convinced by the methods:
