TT rider's family pay tribute to 'one-in-a-million'

29-year-old Mark Purslow killed during qualifying

The family of Welsh TT rider Mark Purslow says he was an 'amazing person' who was 'loved by everyone'.

The 29-year-old was killed during last night's practice session (1 June) after an incident at Ballagarey shortly after 8pm.

Earlier in the evening he’d set his fastest ever lap of the course at 120.86mph – his first lap in excess of 120mph.

In a statement his family says he would be telling them to 'stop crying, have a laugh and a drink for him, and celebrate his achievements.'

TT organisers have extended their ‘deepest sympathy’ to Mark’s family, friends and loved ones.
