Measures and free pouring on agenda
The Manx public is being asked to comment on the way bars and restaurants measure alcohol sold to customers.
The Office of Fair Trading has launched a consultation, prompted by 'repeated concerns' over the availability of approved measuring equipment - such as optics used on bottles of spirits in pubs.
There's also a chance to give your view on the issue of 'free pouring' where liquor is poured into capacity measures which have not been officially stamped.
The OFT says the practice can mean drinkers are sold less or more than they've paid for - and it favours the use of stamped equipment as it's a criminal offence to sell inaccurate measures.
Comments should be made by post, fax or email to the Office of Fair Trading by 31 March.
