Teenager threatened to use knife at Police HQ

Douglas woman made 16 nuisance calls to emergency services

A 19-year-old woman has been remanded in custody after a court heard she dialled 999 asking for pizza and DJs.

Lisa Nicola Mcghee of Mona Street admitted using threatening and abusive language toward police officers, making annoying phone calls, being drunk and disorderly and criminal damage.

Prosecutor Rachael Braidwood said on 21 March she'd abused police on Tynwald Street in Douglas and two days later was drunk outside the Bowling Green pub.

On 25 March, she went to police headquarters and told counter staff she had a knife and wasn't afraid to use it.

The court heard on 5 April Mcghee called 999 four times in half an hour, saying hello to emergency services operators and asking to chat.

When she was arrested for that offence, she damaged her cell by smearing a meal across the walls and door with her hands.

Mrs Hughes was told on 10 April she made 16 nuisance calls to the emergency services, including asking for pizza, with another four the following day.

Mcghee was remanded in custody at the Isle of Man Prison and will appear for sentencing on 18 April.
