Teaching union rejects 'slap in the face' pay offer

55% of its voting members objected to the pay rise

A teaching union is calling for negotiations on pay to be reopened after school leaders rejected a new pay deal from government.

Members of the National Association of Head Teachers took a secret ballot yesterday, with 55% of those taking part voting against the offer of a 2% pay rise.

Rob Kelsall, National Secretary of the NAHT, says it's been seen as a 'slap in the face':
