Teachers try to stop second HoK reading of education bill

'Numerous concerns' about many aspects of bill

A number of teachers are hoping to stop a second reading of the education bill, which is due to take place in today's House of Keys sitting.

Ramsey headteacher Annette Baker says there are numerous concerns about a lot of aspects of the bill, that will be more difficult to change if the reading goes ahead.

It comes a day after a review began, looking into the department's working relationships with schools.

Mrs Baker says the timing of these two things doesn't make sense:
