Some year groups required to access remote learning from home
Castle Rushen High School says it will only be able to accommodate some students in school next week as members of the NASUWT take strike action.
On Wednesday and Thursday (15-16 February) Years 7,8 and 9 are required to access their learning remotely from home.
Year 10's should also remain at home however there is a controlled assessment at Castletown Youth Club for the 'Events' class on Wednesday.
All Year 11 students can attend for periods 1-6, starting at 9:25am. Details of Year 11 lessons taking place on the two days will be provided to students on arrival.
Years 12 and 13 are expected to be the same as during the first and second strikes. A list of classes will be published by the Sixth Form team which will include any collaboration lessons expected to go ahead at partner schools.
Headteacher Keith Winstanley says he's aware of the impact these arrangements may have but he has been left with no other option given the potential number of teachers that will be on strike.
