
Union leader hopes strike ballot decision will lead to talks
The deputy general secretary (postal) of the Communication Worker's Union says any possible strike in the run up to Christmas would be "way down the line".
Terry Pullinger was speaking on Mandate this morning following a unanimous vote by Post Office workers yesterday (Sun 30th) to ballot for strike action.
The meeting was called in the wake of what Mr Pullinger describes as "the most horrific cuts to service and terms and conditions that I've ever seen".
He says he hopes the decision will now lead to discussions with the Post Office Board:
