Silo thinking in the past - Thomas

The architect of the new Programme for Government says it represents a concerted attempt by ministers to banish so-called silo thinking for good.

The programme sets out the priorities and intentions of Howard Quayle's administration for the next five years, under several broad headings.

Detailed policy and work streams will follow, if the document wins Tynwald approval next week (17-19 Jan).

Policy and Reform Minister Chris Thomas led the drawing-up of the programme.

He says ministers accept departmental interests must not get in the way of the government's overall direction of travel.
