A 55 year old man who cultivated cannabis plants has been given a four month prison sentence, suspended for two years, by the High Bailiff.
Graham Peter Joughin of Glen Elfin Road, Ramsey appeared for sentence.
He admitted cultivating cannabis, possessing the drug and permitting it to be smoked on his premises.

Joughin's advocate, Dawn Jones, said the defendant grew seven plants on a field in Andreas without the permission of the landowner. The cannabis found in his home was what he had cultivated.
She said people had come to the house and pestered him to share a joint.
Mr Moyle noticed Joughin had a previous conviction for cultivating cannabis in 1996. He said he would give him a chance to give up using the drug but warned him if he got involved again he would go to prison.
He also imposed an extra month for permitting using his premises to be used for the smoking of cannabis, to run consecutively, increasing the sentence to five months.
A fine of £1000 was also imposed to be paid forthwith, which his advocate said Joughin could do.
