Southlands resident has collected thousands of pounds
Ninety-three year old Bob Corkish has smashed his money raising target within hours of starting his challenge.
The retired farmer from Ballabeg now lives at Southlands Residential Home in Port Erin and has been inspired by the achievement of Captain Tom Moore who has raised millions of pounds for the NHS by completing laps of his garden to coincide with his 100th birthday.
Bob Corkish is attempting to walk 100 laps of the whole ground floor at Southlands to raise money for the Friends of Noble's Hospital charity and he says to give himself something to do.
He was aiming to raise £500 for his efforts and has set-up a Just Giving page which is currently showing a total which is quickly heading towards fast approaching £10,000.
